The Naturhistorish Museum in Maastricht is a museum devoted to the local environment, geology, and natural history. There is a collection which examines the flora, fauna and geology of the local area, and a small nature garden attached to the museum. Some of the most interesting exhibits include the remains of some Giant Turtles which were found in the St Pietersberg caverns, and some fossils which depict the history of South Limburg over the past 300 million years.
