The Museum Het Valkhof is a modern museum which holds a number of exhibits relating to the local area. The collection includes numerous paintings of the Nijemegen area, including workds from the 17th century by Jan van Goyen. There are also some artefacts collected by the archeologist G.M. Kam, who died in 1922, which chart the history of the area from the first Roman settlements to more recent times.
