The Mokkebank Nature Reserve is a beautiful wildlife reserve in the town of Mirns. The Nature Reserve consists of some small reedbeds, a grassland polder, and several areas of sandbanks and shallow water. The Mokkebank Nature Reserve is home to a wide range of animals, and is an important roost for a number of rare birds. The Mokkebank Nature Reserve is considered to be a Natural Monument, and has protected status both nationally and internationally.
