The remains of Millen Castle date back to the 14th century. The castle was built by Jan van Meurs in the year 1365, for Eduard, Duke of Gelre. The castle was incorporated into the Fortress line of Brabant in 1389, and a second ring wall was added in 1450. The castle was partially demolisshed by Duke Wolfgang Wilhelm von Pfalz-Neuberg in 1650, and a new bailey was built with materials salvaged from the ruins. The bailey is still in use today. The ruins of the castle are located on private land and not currently open to the public.
