The Honderd Morgen Mill No. 6 was one of several mills that once served the Honderd Morgen (Or, “Hundred Morning”) polder. This particular mill is believed to have been built in 1653, and was in use until 1923, when the water board installed an electric pumping station with a 100 horse power motor, which took over the duties of all the mills. This particular mill is of interest to historians because of its unusual location. Instead of water courses at the front and rear of the mill, the mill sits at an angle to the water.
