The Hollands Prosperity Mill was built in 1855 by mill-maker Mr. H. Have. He used the mill himself for 10 years, before selling it to Mr Boelens, who ran the mill until his death in 1877. In 1934, the mill was sold to Mr Spoelman. The Spoelman family are still the caretakers of the mill today, although the family sold the mill to the town for a symbolic amount of 1 Gilder in 1969. Today, the mill is used as a teaching facility for student millers.
