The Grote Kerk, or Large Church, in Muiden is a very old church with buildings and furniture that spans several eras. The oldest part, the 28 metre-tall bell tower, dates back to the 12th century. The bells in the tower were made by Henrick Borch in 1525, and bear the names of St Nicholas and St Katherine. The late Gothic Basilica dates back to the beginning of the 15th century, and the frescoes and furniture inside are from the 17th century.
