The Desire Mill was built in 1874 to replace an old post mill that had been destroyed by a fire two years earlier. The new mill was built using many parts salvaged from this older mill. The name of the mill comes from the name of the daughter of one of the more recent millers. The Desire Mill is currently owned by Mr W. J. Camp, and is open to the public every Saturday afternoon.
