The ’De Vooruitgang’ or, ’Progress’ mill was built in 1913 for J. Manders of Cuijk. The Progress mill was one of the last mills in the Netherlands to be built for commercial purposes. The majority of windmills built after the beginning of the 20th century have been replicas of older mills, or reconstructions done for cultural purposes. The mill is now ran on a voluntary basis, and is open to the public every Saturday morning.
