The De Vlijt mill is located on the west bank of the Ijssel river. It was built in 1887, and was in use until 1969. The mill has two flock grindstones that are powered by the mill itself, as well as two that are powered by an antique ’Ruston’ diesel engine. The mill is currently owned by the Wijhese Mill Foundation. It is not currently active, as most of the building has been converted to a museum. The De Vlijt Mill is open to the public by appointment only.
