The De Tijd Mill was built in 1854, to replace an older mill that had burned down the previous year. The mill has had several owners, including William Spijkerboer, and Henry Sweet. After World War Two, the mill was left idle, and it was not until Mr Sweet’s sons, Jan and Jacob took over the mill that the mill was restored. Today, the mill is ran on a voluntary basis. The mill is open to the public every Saturday.
