The Korenaar mill was built in 1857 on the behalf of J. van Esch-Merks. The mill was in use until 1878. In 1905, his heirs, G. van Esch-Horrevoets and Frans van Heyst-Van Esch took over the ownership of the mill. In 1953, the Korenaar was sold to M. Verbruggen, who still owns the building today. The Korenaar Mill is open to the public every Wednesday and Saturday, and the ground floor is used as a canteen for the neighbouring restaurant.
