The De Hoop Mill is the second oldest corn mill in the town of Middelberg. It was built in 1755, to replace an older mill that had been destroyed by a fire the previous year. The mill suffered heavy damage during World War Two. The damage was repaired in 1954, and at the same time two new large grain silos were built near the mill. The De Hoop Mill has ornately decorated red arches over each window, giving the exterior a beautiful appearance.
