The Braakpolder Windmill is a fairly modern watermill located near Brakeweg in the town of Medemblik. The mill was built in 1927, at a cost of six thousand guilders. The mill is currently owned and maintained by the Brackish Waterboard Polder Foundation. The Braakpolder Windmill is quite large for an American Wind Engine mill, with a flight of 7 metres. The Braakpolder Windmill is still in use today, and is not open to the public.
