The Boterslootse Mill is a traditional wipmolen, a small water mill that was commonly used for the drainage of small areas of land. It was built in 1837 to replace a mill that had been destroyed by a fire earlier in the year. The mill was decommissioned in 1956, and later bought by the Foundation for the Conservation of Mills in the Alblasserwaard and Vijfheerendlanden. The foundation restored the mill, and it was re-opened in 1991.
