The Zeldenrust mill was built in the late 18th century, on the foundations of a destroyed 17th century mill. The Zeldenrust corn mill was essential to the community of Lith during the Second World War, but was closed down after the war because of competition from steam, diesel, and electric mills. The Zeldenrust is now owned by the town, and is used to produce feed for animals. The Zeldenrust Mill is open to the public.
