The Vlietmolen is a 17th century windmill located on Lakerveld in the town of Lexmond. Until the early 20th century, the Lakerveld polder was served by two mills, but the other mill, the Bonkmolen, was demolished in 1905. The Vlietmolen was in active use until 1986, when it was closed for restoration. In 1997 the mill was severely damaged in a fire, and the rebuilding process took almost five years. The mill was officially returned to service in May 2002.
