The Windotter is an historic corn mill in the city of Ijsselstein. The mill was built in 1732, by order of the Lord of Ijsselstein. Local farmers were obliged to take their grain there for milling, and to pay a tax. The mill is located on the ramparts of the old city, where good winds were guaranteed. The Wondotter is now owned by the ’s-Men Korenmolen Foundation. It was restored to working order in 1987, and now grinds grain for local craft bakers. The mill is open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays, with appointments available for other days on request.
