The Oortmanmolen in Lattrop is a traditional corn mill that was originally built in Tjamsweer in 1779 as a fur and oil mill. The mill was dismantled and transported to Lattrop by John Oortman in 1910, although it was only used for around 20 years before a diesel engine was purchased, and in 1941 the mill was decommissioned. The mill was restored in 1981, and now used to provide flour for local and regional bakeries. The mill is also used to teach new millers, and is open to the public every Saturday morning.
