The Leede Molen was one of two mills serving the Bruinsdel polder. The other mill was partially demolished in 1948. The Leede Molen is a small ’wipmolen’ – a wooden, traditionally designed water mill. The mill was bought by the town of Leerdam in 1982, and stood idle until 1985. Today the mill is owned by the Alblasserwaard Foundation for the Conservation of mills. The Leede Molen is open to the publich, however it is best to call to make an appointment before visiting.
