The Siebold House is a museum devoted to Japanese culture. The museum was opened by the Siebold Foundation to celebrate the long and special ties between the Netherlands and Japan, and features a collection of items gathered by Philip Von Siebold throughout his life. Siebold bought the house that the museum is presently located in, and used it to exhibit his collection to friends. After he died, the foundation opened the exhibitions to the public. The collection has now expanded, and includes paintings, prints, and many other insights into Japanese culture.
