The Pieterskerk in Leiden is one of the oldest and largest monuments in the town. The former church has now been deconsecrated, and serves now as a museum and monument, hosting a number of art treasures and memorials to those buried at the church. There are also two exceptional organs – the Van Hagerbeer Organ, which is of Dutch origin and includes pipes dating back to 1446, and a more modern, English organ, constructed in 1883 by Tomas Hill.
