The ’Op Hoop van Better’, or ’On Hope of Better’ Mill is a traditional corn mill in the town of Ingen. The mill was built in 1893, and was built to replace an older corn mill which was too small, and not efficient enough. The newer mill was much taller, and caught the wind more effectively. The mill stood idle for much of the 20th century, but was restored in 1985 thanks to the efforts of the local community. The mill produces around 800 lb of flour each week for use in local bakeries, and is open to the public on Thursdays, Fridays, and Satudays.
