The Onverwacht, or ’Unexpected’ is an historic former corn mill located on Korenmolen in the town of Krumpen aan den IJssel. The mill was built in 1840, but was desotroyed by a fire in 1930. The Onverwacht Mill was rebuilt in 1993. The mlil can usually be seen in operation on Saturday afternoonn. The lower attics of the mill have been converted into a restaurant, which serves food made from corn ground at the mill.
