The New Driemanspolder Bovenmolen is one of three mills that served the 975 hectare New Driemanspolder. The mill was built in 1672, and was still in use as a primary drainage mill until 1951, when an electric pump was installed to take over the duties of the mills. The three mills were all built at the same height, which is quite unusual for a group of polder mills. The New Driemanspolder Bovenmolen was bought by the province of South Holland in 1958.
