The Nederwaard Mill No. 6 was built in 1738. It is one 18 mills located on the Nederwaard in the Kinderdijk area. The Nederwaard group of mills is the largest collection of active mills in the Netherlands, and as such is on the World Heritage list of protected monuments. The mill is cared for by miller Mr C. H. Hoek. There have been mills serving the local polders since the 14th century. This particular mill is a round-stone water mill.
