The Nederwaard Mill No. 2 is one of several water mills in the town of Kinderdijk. The mill was built in 1738. There are 18 mills located on the Kinderdijk, making it the largest group of historic water mills in the Netherlands. Around 3 million tourists come to see the mills each year. The Kinderdijk was recently added to the Unesco World Heritage list, because it is a fine example of a polder, and has working examples of a variety of engineering and drainage techniques.
