The Kockengense Mill is a historic mill in the town of Kockengen. The mill was built in 1675 and was in active use as a polder mill (to pump water off the land, keeping it dry and inhabitable) until 1960, when the three polders in the area were converted to use an electric pump. The mill is still used as a reserve pump, and is owned by the Utrecht Mill Foundation. It is open to visitors every Saturday, with appointments available for other days.
