The Kikkermolen is an historic ’wipmloen’ located on Oegstgeesterweg in the town of Leiden. A wipmolen is a small wooden polder mill, based on one of the oldest Dutch windmill designs. This particular mill was built in 1752, to drain water from the Kikkerpolder, and is the smallest mill in the town of Leiden. The Kikkermolen was restored in 1996, and is open to the public. Tours of the mill can be arranged upon request.
