The Grote Kerk in Leeuwarden is also known as the Jacobijner Kerk. The church has been recently restored, although it still has a noticeable tilt due to subsidence, wih the entire structure leaning towards the newer south aisle. Visitors can see some remnants of the sixteenth century frescoes which have been preserved and moved to the new southern aisle. There is also a monument to the wartime Jewish community at the front of the church.
