The Gemall Lijnden is an old coastal pumping station in the Haarlemermeer region. The village of Lijnden is named after this pumping station, which was built, along with two other pumping stations, in the 1850s. The pumping station was closed in the mid 1900s, and new ones were constructed to take their place. The Gemall Lijnden is now a non-listed civil engineering monument. The building is quite attractive, considering its purpose. At the time of writing, the pumping station was not open to visitors.
