The Gemeentehuis, or Town House in Laren is located on Eemnesserweg near the centre of the town. The Gemeentehuis was designed by the architectrs Rigter and Bronkhorst, and was built in 1913. It was originally intended for use as a monastery for the Brothers of St Louis. The building is now used as the Town Hall, and also houses a small gallery. There are some interesting sculptures in the garden. The Gemeentehuis is open to visitors, but at the time of writing, no access facilities were available for disabled persons.
