The ’d Heesterboom is an historic saw mill located on Haagweg in the town of Leiden. The mill was built in 1804, and was in use as a commercial saw mill until the middle of the 20th century. In 1960, the mill was restored to working order, and put back into use. The Heesterboom is now owned by the Heesterboom Windmill Foundation. The mill is of high cultural value because of its picturesque location, and because it is the only remaining working saw mill in the region.
