The Leiden American Pilgrim Museum is based in a beautifully preserved house dating back to 1375. The museum tells the stories of the founders of New England, with collections that examine everything from pottery and table settings, to armour, weaponry, and medicines. As well as the fixed exhibits, there are rotating temporary exhibits that focus on the Pilgrim theme. The museum shows how contact with other groups of refugees expanded the horizons of the Pilgrims and introduced new customs into their culture.
