The Zuiderkerk in Enkhuizen is a Gothich church with a tall brick tower which was constructed in 1450. It is also known as St Pancraskerk. The tower as it stands today is slightly different to the original construction, as an octagon and a cupola were added to the top of the tower some years later. The church tower includes a carillon made by the Hemony brothers, which consists of 45 bells. There are several paintings on the ceiling which date back to 1484 – the paintings were painted over during the Reformation, but have recently been uncovered.
