The Windmotor Ferwert is a modern watermill located in the former Foswerd convent in the town of Ferwert. The mill is a very small windmill, with a flight of just 2 metres. The exact date of the construction of the mill is unknown, but it is likely that the mill was built during the early part of the 20th century. The mill features a design known as the U.S. Wind Engine, which was very popular during the 1920s.
