The Windmotor Easterwierrum is a modern watermill located on the Opvaart van de Zwette in the town of Easterwierrum. The mill was built in 1920, to a U.S. Wind Engine design known as the ’Hercules Win Engine’. The mill has 30 wind sheets, and is quite large compared to other U.S. Wind Engine mills. The Windmotor Easterwierrum is maintained by the Fryslan Water Board, and is not currently open to the public.
