The Windmotor 4 in Earnewâld is one of several modern water mills in the town. It is an average-sized mill with a flight of 5 metres. The mill was built early in the 20th century, to a design known as the U.S. Wind Engine. This design is a very common sight in the Friesland area. The Windmotor 4 is located to the south-east of Greft, near Holstmar. The Windmotor 4 is still in use today, and is not generally open to the public.
