The Westerkerk is located on Westerstraat in Enkhuizen. It is an early 15th century Gothic church with a redbrick facade and a free-standing wooden tower which is decorated in a starkly contrasting combination of orange and green. Inside there is a rood-screen which has detailed carved panels depicting various biblical scenes, such as Moses holding the Tablets, and St John on Patmos. The screen dates from the 16th century, and the carvings are incredibly detailed.
