The Volksvriend mill is a history corn mill located on Oudestraat in the town of Gemert. The mill was built in 1887 for Mr. W. van den Boom. The mill was closed down in the early 1970s, and its condition began to decay quite rapidly. A part of the decay can be attributed to the use of the building as a venue for parties during the 1970s. The Volksvriend mill is currently idle, but tours of the mill can be arranged upon request.
