The Rijnenburgermolen was built in 1722, and is located on the northern side of the Alphen Aan Den Rijen – Leiden railroad, on the outskirts of the Rijndijk hamlet. The mill was built to serve the Rijnenburgerpolder. It was decommissioned in 1965, when a mechanical pumping station took over the husbandry of the polder. The mill was bought by the town of Hazerswoude in 1964. Today, the Rijnenburgermolen is open to the public. Tours of the mill are available by appointment.
