The Oldemeule is an historic water-driven mill in the town of Hengelo. The mill was built in 1690, and was originally attached to a house owned by one of the town nobles. Unfortunately, the house was demolished in the early 1800s. The Oldemeule has had several private owners, and was sold to the town of Hengelo in 1971. The town gave the mill to the Twickel Foundation in 2003, and the mill is now operated on a voluntary basis. The mill is open to the public.
