The Nieuwland Mill is a 16th century water mill located on Nieuwland Molenpad in the town of Hoek. The mill was built in the second half of the 16th century, although the exact date of construction is unkown. The Nieuwland Mill was used to drain two polders, the Niewland, and the Noordland. The mill was decommissioned in 1947, and replaced with an electric pumping station. The Nieuwland mill was bought by the Niewland and Noordland Water Board in 1977. The mill is open to the public on selected national holidays, such as National Mill Day.
