The Hope, or ’De Hoop’, is an historic mill located in the touwn of Garderen. It was built in 1855, and was used as a corn mill. The mill was restored in 1971, and since 1981 the ground floor has housed the tourist office. The mill is in working order, and is currently used to produce several different kinds of flour. The mill is open to the public two days a week, with tours available on other days by appointment.
