The Hope mill is a historic corn mill located close to the Dalempoort in the town of Gorinchem. The mill was built in 1764, and has had several owners. During the Second World War the mill was severely damaged in a bombing attack. In 1951 the City Council decided to purchase the mill, and restored it to working order. The mill is now ran on a voluntary basis, and tours are available on some weekends, with appointments available for those who wish to take tours on other days.
