The Hauge Municipal Museum is housed in an early 20th-century building designed by Berlage, the architecht most famous for his work on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange. The museum consists of three departments. The Modern Art Department houses a display of 19th century Dutch romantic and Impressionist works. The Department of Decorative Arts showcases ceramics from around the world. The Music Department displays a variety of musical instruments, and also houses a library with musical scores and books.
