The Groenendijk Mill was built in 1627. It is a small ’wipmolen’ located on the northern side of the Leiden-Alphen railroad, on the outskirts of the Hazerswoude village. The mill was originally used to serve the 170 hectare New Groenendijk polder. In 1966, the mill was bought by the Rhineland Mill Foundation. The Groenendijk Mill is new used as an instruction facility for the Guild of Voluntary Millers. The Groenendijk Mill is open to the public.
