The Gratitude is a working corn mill located in the town of Herkingen. The mill was built in 1841, and has had many owners, including Johannes Gilleszoon Nipius, and Cornelis Keyzer. The mill was severely damaged in a storm in 1919, and decommissioned in 1960. The owner at the time used the mill as a warehouse. In 1990 the mill ws sold to the Goeree-Overflakkee Mill Foundation, who restored the mill to working order. The mill is open to the public, with tours available by appointment.
