The Bouwing is a historic wind mill in the town of Geldermalsen. It was built in 1848, by Duke of Geldermalsen. When he died in 1864, the mill went to his heir, and in 1871, it was sold to the farmer Dirk Jan van Wijk. Since 1928 the mill has been owned by the town. In 1977 the mill was restored, and given its current name. The mill now operates on a voluntary basis. Tours of the mill are available by appointment.
