The Beehive Mill was originally built in 1655 as a pelmolen in Zaandijk. The mill was dismantled in 1907, and moved to the town of Gemert, where it was rebuilt and has since been used as a corn mill. In 1974, a 200,000 Guilder restoration project was started. The Beehive Mill is now ran on a voluntary basis by two millers, Mr Bart Gerrits, and Jurgen van Stiphout, and is open to the public every Saturday afternoon.
